  The trip to hell's gate and lake naivasha was super nice. We cycled 8 kms in hell's gate and stopped to see zebras, wild beasts, buffaloes and giraffes. Then hiked... read more a bit and then cycled back. Then we had a very nice and much needed lunch at lake naivasha and then took a wonderful boat ride. Everything was very well organized and all guides were accommodating and cheerful. Chris who drove us to each location was especially pleasant.

A few things to be mindful of:
- The gorge is closed - I wish the tour company had told us, so if you're keen about hiking in the gorge make sure you ask before you book.
- Be ready for quite a workout: cycling downhill then uphill on the way back.

  We took a day trip to Mount Longonot and had a fantastic time. We were collected by Harrison (our driver) and David (our guide) at 6am for the drive out... read more to the mountain. They were both engaging and shared info about the area, Kenya, etc on the drive up. On the mountain, David was a great guide. We particularly appreciated that he seemed to be enjoying the hike as much as we were (despite the fact he'd done it a number of times in the past)! We had a great time and we were in very capable hands!

The hike took about 4 hours, and had beautiful views. We were back in Nairobi by about 14:00. Would definitely recommend this trip if you are looking to get out of Nairobi for a quick trip into the countryside.

The pickup in Nairobi was very convenient, and since I had to go to Tanzania afterwards, they even dropped me at the border, which was very helpful. The accommodation was nice, with great food and a Maasai show by the fire in the evening. As a solo female traveler, I felt very safe with Harrison and the group I joined.

  Amazing to be able to cycle that close to animals in the wild. It is not too intense and a nice hike though the forest and showing a little river.
